The National Republican Guard has been focusing its efforts on preventing the spread of COVID-19, in the last few days, he verified some situations of non-compliance with the rules defined and foreseen to fight the pandemic.
Beyond the private party in Grândola, of the party in a drinks establishment in Lagos and of spontaneous gatherings of the public road in Albufeira, previously communicated, the military of the Guard has guaranteed its presence throughout the National Territory, in your action zone, in places where the physical distance and the concentration of people is not in accordance with the current rules, as well as the rules of occupation and permanence in places open to the public.
The GNR recalls that, with the administrative regime that entered yesterday, 27 June, in force, citizens who do not follow the rules, incur in the practice of an administrative offense, that varies between 100 and 500 euros, in the case of natural persons, and among 1.000 and 5.000 euros, in the case of legal persons.
So, GNR warns of compliance with the following rules, whose violation constituted an administrative offense:
- Mandatory use of masks or visors on public transport; in commercial and service spaces and establishments; public or public buildings; in schools and kindergartens or concert halls;
- Failure to hold celebrations and events that involve the concentration of people in excess of the permitted limit.
On the other hand, the situations that constitute a crime of disobedience remain, as, the obligation of mandatory confinement. That is why, among other situations, the Guard will perform the following:
- Determine the closure of establishments and activities that are not authorized or that do not meet hygiene and safety requirements;
- Advise the non-concentration of people on the public road and the dispersion of concentrations higher than the expected number.
It is recalled that the failure to comply with a legitimate order from the military of the Guard to stop an infraction in this area, still constitutes the practice of the crime of disobedience.
