Alvito and Cuba, are the two municipalities in Portugal at extreme risk of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, according to the latest epidemiological bulletin of the General Directorate of Health (DGS), released this Friday, day when were reported 841 new cases and eight deaths.
According to the electronic newspaper “NotÃcias ao Minutoâ€, Alvito is the county where the situation is most serious, with one incidence of 2.391 cases of infection by 100 thousand. It follows Cuba, with an incidence of 968 cases.
A week ago, it should be remembered, Alcoutim was the only municipality in Portugal at extreme risk. It currently has an incidence of 674 cases.
The extreme risk of infection occurs when a municipality has a cumulative incidence of 14 days above 960 cases of infection by 100 thousand.
On the other hand, there are four dozen municipalities that record an incidence of zero cases, according to the same report.
In the explanatory note to the data by municipality it is stated that the cumulative incidence “corresponds to the quotient between the number of new confirmed cases in the 14 days prior to the time of analysis and the estimated resident population”.
DGS data updated this Friday also show that Portugal is in the green zone of the risk matrix, with the national Rt in 0,92 it is us 0,91 no continent – even so, a slight phase climb to the last update.
The national incidence is in the 86,5 cases and on the continent is 86,7 cases.
