COVID-19: Nine more positive cases in Póvoa de São Miguel, municipality of Moura.


More were detected 9 positive cases of covid-19 in Póvoa de São Miguel, municipality of Moura, where now sixteen cases are registered, the first of which was detected in the past day 12 July.

The detection of these new cases comes after the completion of 53 testes, last Tuesday, in that village of the Moorish Municipality and that were conformed by the Public Health Authority (ASP) of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA).

In the Municipality of Moura, there is now 33 positive cases, two of those infected were admitted to the José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, in Beja, the rest being, besides those mentioned in Póvoa de São Miguel, are spread across three clusters: ten in Amareleja, six in Moura and one in Santo Aleixo da Restauração. For contacts with rights with confirmed positive cases, There 21 people under active surveillance at home.

Since in the past day 18 March, the first infected people in the region were known, not complete, and according to the always disclosed data Municipal Service of Civil Protection of Moura (SMPCM), have already been confirmed 116 positive cases of covid-19, wherein 83 are recovered.

In a statement issued on Thursday morning where new positive cases were revealed, the SMPCM informs the population that after testing groups of people, the information is only released “after the results of all tests have been determined and after ASP has contacted the people who tested positive”, as a way to stop the traditional “false news” published on social networks about possible assertive cases of covid-19 in the municipality.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the municipality of Moura has been attacked by four outbreaks of vocid-19, having first and great impact, been detected in population settlements in the urban limits of the city of Moura, followed by Santo Aleixo da Restauração, then Amareleja, and now focus on Póvoa de São Miguel, where the number of infected people is the most numerous in the Municipality, with 16 today confirmed cases.
