Covid-19: In Moura municipality there are eight new patients recovered.


There are eight new recoveries from the covid-19 in Moura, two of which are in the city where the municipality is located and six in the village of Póvoa de São Miguel, where the fourth outbreak of the disease broke out in the municipality.

The revelation was made by the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Moura (SMPCM) and data made available by the Public Health Authority and following new tests.

Yesterday two people were recovered in Póvoa de São Miguel and already this Tuesday, six more patients, four more in that location and two in Moura.

Globally, the municipality of the “Left Bank” of the Guadiana River registers 102 recovered cases and 31 active cases of infection by the new coronavirus, of which 3 are located in Moura, 4 in Amareleja and 24 in Póvoa de São Miguel.

Of these 31 active cases, 3 of patients are admitted to the José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, in Beja, there still 27 people who are under active surveillance at home by direct contacts with confirmed positive cases.

It is recalled that last day 31 July, SMPCM and the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA) announced the registration of the first death of a patient in the municipality of Moura, precisely in Póvoa de São Miguel. The victim was a man, of 87 years and that was in your house.

With death in Póvoa de São Miguel, was the third victim in the district of Beja, after two fatal cases in the city of Beja. No total, the Alentejo registers 22 fatalities, the rest being 19 registered in Reguengos de Monsaraz, resulting from an outbreak in a home.

Since in the past day 18 March, the first infected people in the region were known, not complete, and according to the data always released by SMPCM, have already been confirmed 133 positive cases of covid-19, wherein 102 are recovered.
