Covid-19: Reguengos de Monsaraz police will cycle to help the city's home.


José Onion, former member of the Special Operations Group (GOE) Public Security Police (PSP) and current agent of Évora District Command, will ride and lead the Solidarity Tour of Portugal.

José Onion, 55 year old, natural Reguengos de Monsaraz, former member of the Special Operations Group (GOE) Public Security Police (PSP) and current agent of Évora District Command, will travel the country by bicycle to collect donations for the Maria Inácia Vogado Perdigão da Silva Foundation, in whose home a covid-19 outbreak broke out, that was at the origin of 18 killed in the institution and in the community.

During the Solidarity Tour of Portugal by Bicycle, the Alentejo cyclist proposes to cycle 2.150 kilometers along 20 stages, with a rest day, the match is scheduled for next Sunday, 16 August, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, ending in the so-called “Wine Capital”, the next day 5 of September.

At each of the departure and arrival locations, José Cebola will have t-shirts alluding to the initiative to sell, the price of 10 euros, for all those who want to help the Reguenguense Foundation. Beyond the t-shirts, there is also a solidarity account (WERE GOING: PT50 0035 0681 0002 1326 3307 5) for individuals and companies that want to make their donations.

When Lidador News (LN), José Cebola justified that “life only fills me and it only makes sense if I give what I can in favor of my fellow man, especially the most vulnerable, in this case our elderly people ”, finished.

Over a few steps, José Cebola's friends are going to “help on the road” by cycling as a way to encourage the Alentejo to “achieve the solidarity goal of raising funds for the Foundation”, justified the police. Another support has to do with the availability of places to sleep "with some municipalities to show solidarity in this chapter", justified José Cebola.
