Covid-19: PSP detained a person and issued 12 contraordenação cars.


Violation of the covid-19 rules led the PSP of the Beja District Command to detain a person and installed him 12 contraordenação cars.

Beja District Command agents (CDBeja) Public Security Police (PSP) detained a person, of 38 years, for the practice of the crime of disobedience, having violated the mandatory containment measures, to which it is subject.

In the last week the agents issued 12 administrative offense records for violation of restrictive measures to contain the covid-19 pandemic, in the cities of Beja and Moura.

Five of the administrative offenses were filed against citizens for not using a face mask to protest, 3 for consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads, 2 for violation of the duty of home collection, without legal justification and 2 for non-observance of the restrictive rules for holding recreational events and the operation of catering establishments and the like, the values ​​of the fines were 200 euros each.

In addition to detention, in the last fortnight the police have already issued 31 contraordenação cars, applying Article 2. Decree-Law 28-B / 2020, of 26 June, fixing the amount of fines for non-compliance with the duties established during the covid-19 pandemic and committed during the Emergency State.

Values ​​of fines: in the case of natural persons it varies between 100 and 500 euros and in the case of legal persons between 1.000 and 10.000 euros. When the offense falls within the scope of negligence, the amounts are reduced by 50%, if it is committed during the State of Emergency, the minimum and maximum values ​​are doubled.
