COVID-19: Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Ourique did not test users.
Users of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Ourique were not tested in the “help” of the President of the Republic.
More than hundred and a half users of the various services of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Ourique, have not been tested, situation that the Ombudsman of the institution confirmed in the statement issued last Monday “that two teams from INEM carried out tests about 80 institution employees ”, extolling the “available, helpful and supportive ”, how the President of the Republic “helped”, concluded.
The document makes no reference to the tests performed or to be performed on users, after an Open Letter sent to the President of the Republic, having said that the institution he leads “has more than 100 employees and supports about 340 families ", reminding Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa that despite warnings about the pandemic, spending a month the SCMO not received: "A single mask, a simple pair of gloves, a bottle of ice or simple an indispensable protective suit ", emphasized.
By mail, Lidador Notícias asked José Raul Santos about the reasons why “only tests were performed on employees and users were the first to be tested”, concluding when they will be made, questions that had no answers.
In the face of the Open Letter and praise for Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, LN went further and left two other questions: “SCMO expects the President of the Republic (PR) streamline testing for users ? and If there is no new PR intervention, what démarches will the SCMO do so that users, who pay for your stay, be tested ?", who also had no answers.
Yesterday in the afternoon, on the facebook page of the Holy House, a photo of the Ombudsman accompanied, according to the publication of “Mário Pereira Pinto, advisor to the Presidency of the Republic for the Health area – representing the President of the Republic - was at the Misericórdia de Ourique, where he learned about the health and psychological state of users and employees of the institution. Attentive to the situation experienced in Portuguese homes, the President of the Republic wanted to know, through your advisor, whether the “claimed support” reached its destination and according to the needs of the institution. The Mercy of Ourique thanks the availability, attention and concern ”.
Also in this publication there is no reference to the tests to be carried out on Covid-19 users..
