The number of positive cases of covid-19 in the village of Póvoa de São Miguel, in the municipality of Moura, district of Beja, rose to 31 after the detection of three new cases of infection, informed the Municipal Civil Protection Service.

The first four positive cases in Póvoa de São Miguel were detected about two weeks ago, but the tests carried out during the last week have raised to 28 the total infected in the village, number that went up, now, to 31.
The Public Health Authority of the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit informed, yet, that the positive case that existed in Santo Aleixo da Restauração, also in the municipality of Moura, was recovered.
This way, there are currently 47 active cases of covid-19 in the municipality of Moura, wherein, beyond the 31 in Póvoa de São Miguel, there is to register 10 in Amareleja and six in Moura.
