Covid-19: Vaccination starts today at Beja Hospital.


The first of 180 initial doses of the covid-19 vaccine begin today to be administered by ULSBA professionals.

According to information from the Board of Directors of the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA), EPE are taught today, 29 of December, by 9:00h, vaccines to an internist, a nurse from the emergency department and an operational assistant from the medical department.

These professionals have been working on the front line to combat Covid-19 since the beginning, will be the first health professionals to be vaccinated at the José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, in Beja, initiating the vaccination process against Covid-19 at the Local Health Unit in Baixo Alentejo.

This is an important moment for all professionals of the Institution and a recognition for their dedication over the past months. No total, and in this first phase, will be vaccinated 180 Health professionals (Doctors, Nurses and Operational Assistants).

The van (na photos) carrying the vaccines arrived yesterday at José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, to 20,30 hours, in a trip surrounded by controversy caused by a disagreement between PSP and GNR in Évora.
