Seven men were left homeless today after a fire left the house where they lived, in Cuba, no Beja district, without living conditions, informed Civil Protection source.
The source from the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command indicated that the alert for the fire was given to 07.45 hours.
The commander of the Cuban Volunteer Firefighters, José Chicken, explained that “there are no injuries to report” following this fire.
Seven agricultural workers lived in the house., of Moroccan nationality.
The same source explained that the house partially burned down, two bedrooms and a kitchen were affected.
Source from the Chamber of Cuba that at this time an assessment is taking place to determine whether the employer of the seven workers will be able to relocate them or whether this step will have to be taken by the municipality's social services.
In the rescue operations were involved 11 operational, including elements of the GNR, assisted by four vehicles.
