In the “Portugal Inspirador” awards, EDIA wins the “Sustainability” award in the Sustainability/Large Company category, in an initiative that aims to give visibility to companies operating in the national territory.
Were known “those who stood out in the Portuguese business fabric and contributed most to the national economy”, for being notable cases of business success and references in talent management”, according to the organization.
The prizes awarded were divided into the “Agriculture” categories; “Tourism and Services”; “Sustainability and Social Economy” and “Innovation, Technology and Industry”, divided into three subcategories: “Large Company Award”; “SME Award” and “Personality of the Year Award”.
EDIA was the “Great Company” chosen by the jury to receive the “Sustainability” award.
For EDIA, the award of this award “represents the recognition of the path that the Company has been following with a view to sustainability, not only of the Alqueva project itself, but, above all, of the entire area of influence of the Enterprise, encouraging good agricultural and environmental practices, the use of renewable energies and the safeguarding of “water and soil” resources, making Alqueva an example of management in the context of climate change”.
