EMAS / Beja: The company integrates the 2nd edition of the H2OFF Initiative.


The challenge is simple. Turn off the faucet for an hour, without any water consumption, between 22:00 and 23:00 of the day 22 March, in a deliberate and conscious gesture.

APDA – Portuguese Water Distribution and Drainage Association, through its Specialized Commission on Communication and Environmental Education, which includes the coordinator of the Integrated Communication Office of EMAS in Beja, promotes on World Water Day, 22 March, 22.00, and H2OFF – Time to turn off the faucet.

A iniciativa, which will be held for the second year in a row, intends to motivate conscious behavior change on the correct and efficient use of water, encouraging the protection and preservation of the same.

In this sense EMAS, once again, joins the H2Off movement, which in the first edition had the support of several public and private entities, from north to south of the country, including the Autonomous Regions, and with the involvement of dozens of public figures, called Ambassadors, namely artists, athletes, among other nationally and internationally recognized personalities, being objective, in this second edition, increase the number of people involved in this important movement that belongs to all.

The school community is also being invited to join and encourage action with students, families and friends.
