“Beja Sustentabilidade Global” is the new project that integrates the Municipality of Beja, EMAS and the Alentejo Agricultural and Agro-Food Biotechnology Center (CEBAL).
The project promoted by the Municipality of Beja, which intends to promote actions in the area of the environment, integrates in a first phase, a EMAS – Municipal Water and Sanitation Company of Beja and CEBAL – Center for Agricultural Biotechnology and Agro-Food Alentejo, resulting from the close partnership work and high added value developed between the entities, in areas such as, climate change, the efficient use of water, and the natural research and development processes inherent to environmental issues.
In this sense, and based on 10 pillars of action, all collaborative work will now be enhanced, with the objective of affirming Beja, as a national reference in terms of global sustainability.
The path that is now starting will surely be extended in the future with the integration of new entities in the project, taking into account the numerous good practices and actions developed in the area of the environment in the municipality of Beja, always with the objective of involving the entire community in the transformation processes, promote best practices and innovative solutions, that ensure the sustainability of natural resources.
