A difficulty that has been highlighted, on several occasions, by student representatives through their Academic Association.
The IPBeja maintains that “it is a difficulty to which the growing number of students that the Institute has been registering in recent years is not unrelated., as a result of the successful diversification of the training offer, namely through the increase in the number of students who are attending higher professional technical courses, postgraduate or master's degrees. There is even an expectation that they may potentially increase, in view of the new qualification programs also financed by the PRR, namely Impulso Jovem STEAM”.

Simultaneously, the increase in the number of beds offered by IPBeja and its concentration in a single building, “will favor the attraction of new students to the city of Beja and gains in efficiency in the management of residences”, justify.
The proposal now submitted will be analyzed by a high-level independent panel” that will evaluate it according to criteria associated with innovation in construction; execution capacity by March 2026; and, to the local demand/supply ratio. Evaluation criteria that deserved the utmost attention from the technical team that prepared the proposal.
“According to the analysis criteria, and the unique involvement of regional public entities in the application, the Presidency of IPBeja believes that its success will induce a dynamic development in the city of Beja, extended to Baixo-Alentejo”, ends the institution.
