Évora: inauguration ceremony of the new commander of the Territorial Command.
Colonel João Maia, former Chief of the Criminal Investigation of Beja Territorial Command, is from today the new Commander of the Territorial Command Évora National Guard (GNR).
Nas instalações do Comando Territorial de Évora realiza-se hoje pelas 16:30 hours, the ceremony of the new commander inauguration, Colonel John Fernando Rodrigues Maia, which will be chaired by the General Commander of the National Guard (GNR), Lieutenant General Manuel Mateus Costa da Silva Couto.
Colonel João Maia attended the course of Militia officers in anti-aircraft artillery in 1981 and joined the Old Guard in Fiscal 1986, taking over of his career played various control functions and management in different units of GNR.
The officer stood out as Commander of the Traffic Detachment of Albufeira and Évora, Head of the Traffic Brigade Commander's Office, Chief of the Criminal Investigation of Territorial Command Beja and Évora, Head of Operations Section, information, Training and Public Relations of Territorial Command Évora, 2No. Commander of the Territorial Command Évora and most recently Commander of Regional Command of the Azores.
also acted as Officer GNR connection in the former General Directorate of Traffic.
The Territorial Command Évora is headquartered in the city of Évora (Of. Dr. Francisco Barahona) and is responsible for fulfilling the mission of GNR throughout the district.
