Évora: Murderer of missing court lawyer, because of the strike by prison guards.
Strike by prison guards leads to the murder of a lawyer from Estremoz, fail today the third day of trial at the Court of Évora.
Francisco Water's Edge, the businessman Estremoz, accused of the death of the former wife lawyer, don't go today (Friday) be present at the Court of Évora on the third day of his trial, for the death of Natalia de Sousa.
Has learned the JN, the accused, preventively arrested in the Regional Prison of Beja (EPRBeja), passed a power of attorney to your lawyer, authorizing the judgment to be held "without his presence".
The situation has to do with the fifth strike period that prison guards are serving between 23 and 25 April and which calls into question the transport of prisoners to trials. For this reason, the first trial, initially scheduled for the 09.30, started two hours later, given the period of strike that the guards then served.
Paul Camoesas, the Defender of Water's Edge, justified to our newspaper that "to be cautious and to avoid further delays, we opted for your absence”, justified.
The lawyer maintained that "I would like everything to be finished this Friday, but I doubt. Many witnesses remain to be heard", concluded.
Paulo Camoesas' concern has to do with the fact that Francisco Borda d'Água's initial audition calendar, have been totally changed. After listening to the first session in 23 March, just returned it to the past day 14 April.
For logistical reasons the defendant, suffering from health problems, was transferred from the Prison Hospital S.João de Deus, in Caxias, for EPRBeja, where, according to its advocate, "you have competent medical support and where you are medicated for your health problems", concluded.
Francisco Water's Edge, 55 year old, Estremoz fruit merchant, is on trial for the murder, in 6 May 2014, that city Alentejo, Natálisa de Sousa's lawyer, 50 year old, ex-wife's advocate in divorce proceedings. The defendant risks a penalty 25 years in prison since he is accused of a crime of aggravated homicide.
