In the last three years, it's the first time, that the GNR soldiers involved in “Operation Southwest” receive funds related to festival bonuses, in the month following its completion.
On 9 August, segundo informação prestada pela Divisão de Comunicação e Relações Públicas (DCRP) of the General Command (CG) da GNR, the Lidador News (LN) revelava que “o pagamento do serviço remunerado em causa, for the Southwest Festival 2024, was carried out, in time, by the event promoter”, justified.
Segundo apurou o LN junto de vários militares envolvidos na operação, “o valor dos gratificados do Sudoeste foi pago hoje juntamente com o vencimento de setembro”, assured
Recorde-se que depois dos atrasos de 2022 and 2023, este ano o Lidador Notícias foi colocando diversas questões à DCRP do CG sobre o envio de orçamento para o organizador e o pagamento do serviço.
This year's edition of the Southwest Festival, organized by Música no Coração, managed by businessman Luís Montez, took place between 7 and 10 August, at Casa Branca Estate, in Zambujeira do Mar (Odemira), with the GNR operation starting on the day 03 August, Campsite opening date.
Delays in 2022 and 2023
The situation involving the lack of payment of Southwest Festival bonuses has been recurring, taking into account that the payment of security costs for editing 2022, was paid a few days before the start of the edition of 2023.
Last year's edition, which took place between 7 and 10 August, in Zambujeira do Mar (Odemira), increasing the debt to 60 thousand euros, it was only paid in December and then the GNR CG was heavily questioned.
