Operatives of firefighters vaccinated against covid-19 with “leftovers”. Were 28 the operational staff of Moura volunteers who received the vaccine at the Health Center.
Twenty-eight operatives of the Volunteer Firefighters of the Moorish corporation were vaccinated against the covid-19, last day 23, with “leftovers” of vaccines for patients at risk of the population, whose users did not attend the Health Center to receive the same.
In view of this situation and aiming not to throw the vaccines in the trash or to administer to people who were not in the front line in the fight against the disease, the direction of the local Health Center contacted the Municipal Civil Protection Service of Moura (SMPCM) on the possibility of vaccinating members of the Active Body of the Moorish volunteers.
The situation deserved all the agreement of the SMPCM that immediately communicated with the commander of the corporation that made the referral of the operational to the Health Center.
Heard by Lidador News (LN), Diogo Saraiva, SMPCM coordinator, revealed that “when they realized that vaccines were going to be left, the Health Center questioned our services about the possibility of these vaccines being given to firefighters, which deserved all of our agreement ”, adding that “our decision was, is and always will be for the benefit of those at the forefront of combating covid-19 ”, finished.
For his part, the commander of the Moura Volunteer Firefighters, the decision was satisfied, considering that we only have to praise the decision and the recognition for the work we have done in combating the pandemic ”, concluded.
Carlos Encarnação added that “bringing these 28 vaccinated to those who will be vaccinated as determined by the National Civil Protection Authority, we are left with about 97% of the Active Body vaccinated, what makes us more rested ”, revealing that the corporation has 70 elements in the active.
