three injured, two in serious condition, was the result of a fire that broke out this morning in a house in São Matias, rural customer in the municipality of Beja.
The fire happened around 01,57 hours and the causes are yet to be determined. The fire happened in a small house with a small room on the first floor.. The three victims were transported to the Emergency Service of Hospital de Beja.
The occupants of the dwelling are three individuals of Moldovan nationality, of 25, 29 and 44 year old, agricultural workers who ended up being taken to the Alentejo hospital unit. One of the wounded that inspired more care, was taken in the ambulance of the Fire Department of Ourique to the Burns Unit of the Hospital de São José, in Lisbon. The other two injured remain under observation at Hospital de Beja.
They were mobilized to the site, according to the CDOS, operational and vehicles of the Beja firefighters, Cuba and Vidigueira, a medical vehicle emergency and resuscitation (VMER) from Beja and elements of the GNR, in total 16 elements, supported by seven cars.
Inspectors of the Directorate of Faro of the Judiciary Police (PJ) were in the house to determine the causes of the fire and rule out any possibility of crime, taking into account the unstable environment in the region, in view of the operation of the PJ that detained 35 people for human trafficking, some of whom are residents of São Matias (Beja).
