Ferreira do Alentejo Public Ministry accused man of raping niece of 15 dependent years. The individual who is in preventive detention at the Beja Prison.
The Attorney General's prosecutors (MP) Ferreira do Alentejo accused a man, of 56 year old, resident in Canhestros, village in that county, of material authorship, in the consummated form of three crimes of sexual abuse of a dependent minor, practiced against niece of 15 year old.
Due to the pandemic and at the request of the defendant's son, between 1 April and 1 May this year, the smallest started to live in this house, in order to take care of his grandson and it was during this period that the accused took advantage of his niece.
Tired of being abused by her uncle, on one of the days he realized that he was going to return to abuse and that if he realizes he put his cell phone, ready to record whatever happened. The man tried to have sex with his niece, what this avoided, the girl ended up telling her mother what had happened.
A complaint was formalized at the Ferreira do Alentejo GNR, that sent the case to the Southern Directorate of the Judicial Police (PJ), ending the individual being arrested on the day 7 May, with the development of the investigation having collected relevant evidence, which led to the defendant being placed in pre-trial detention two days later.
The Prosecutor of the MP asks that if the accused is convicted, accessory penalties for prohibiting the exercise of functions and trust of minors and inhibition of parental responsibilities, for a period fixed between five and twenty years.
From the date he was present to the Investigating Judge who decreed the most severe coercion measure, the defendant awaits trial, to be held in the second half of next January, in Prison Beja.
