Six people, aged between 22 and 50 year old, suffered serious injuries following a collision involving four cars.
The accident occurred at about 19.30 hours, the National Road (IN) 257, close to the Odivelas Dam, in this parish in the municipality of Ferreira do Alentejo.
The accident occurred following the crash of a vehicle that ended up colliding with the other three that were traveling in the opposite direction..
The accident caused the EN257 to be closed to traffic for almost three hours and mobilized firefighters from the Ferreira do Alentejo corporations., Cuba, Alvito, Beja and Torrão, in total 27 operational and 10 vehicles, in addition to three vehicles and seven GNR soldiers.
All the injured were transported to the Beja Hospital.
The INEM helicopter based in Évora was activated but ended up being demobilized.
