Railroad: Portugal authorized infrastructure spending 422 million in “Évora line”.
The government, through the Ministries of Finance and Planning and Infrastructure published four ordinances which authorizes the company Portugal Infrastructure, S. A., to spend 422 million in railroad named “Évora line”, binding Elvas.
The Ministries of Finance and Planning and Infrastructure announced that they will launch, in the first quarter of 2018, Public tenders for the construction of Évora-Elvas section, integrated into the international south corridor freight link.
The ordinances published in the Journal of Friday Republic, 29 of December, They are signed by the Secretaries of State Budget, John Rodrigo Leão and Infrastructure, Guilherme d'Oliveira Martins and is intended to pay for the provision of inspection services and other, civil works of subsections Ash-Alandroal, Northern Ash and Evora Alandroal – East Line, all of “Évora line”.
The first is on the contract "Inspection Service Delivery, Security Coordination of Construction and Technical Management of the construction works of the new rail link to Évora East Line », up to an overall amount of (euro) 27.060.000,00. (The East Line is a rail link between Abrantes Station, in Portugal, and the border with Spain, near Elvas, having a length of 140,692 kilometers.)
The second on the contract "Évora Line. general contract for construction of the Ash-Alandroal subsection », up to an overall amount of (euro) 105.000.000,00, on condition of obtaining European funding and subject to a national maximum funding (euro) 63.000.000,00.
The third to the contract of "Évora Line. general contract for construction of subsection Évora North Ash », up to an overall amount of (euro) 70.000.000,00, on condition of obtaining European funding and subject to a national maximum funding (euro) 42.000.000,00.
And finally the last to contract "Évora Line. general contract for construction of subsection Alandroal – East Line », up to an overall amount of (euro) 220.000.000,00, on condition of obtaining European funding and subject to a national maximum funding (euro) 132.000.000,00.
