Air Force: Portugal receives the first Embraer KC-390 jet, follow the flight.


The first foreign country to receive the largest aircraft manufactured in the southern hemisphere, o Embraer KC-390, It's Portugal and the delivery flight started yesterday in São Paulo (Brazil) e termina na BA11, in Beja.

The aircraft had already gone to Portugal before, but for demonstrations and analysis, now, however, official delivery takes place.

Made in Brazil by Embraer, the KC-390 is already operated today by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), who actively participated in the design of the project, which aims to replace the Lockheed C-130 Hércules in Brazil and abroad.

Portugal is one of the model’s manufacturing partners, which has parts made in Évora and is also NATO's first customer for Brazilian military aircraft.

Now, after months of testing and preparation of Portuguese crews, the first plane is being delivered. Registration FAP-26901, the jet left the Embraer Defense factory & Security in Gavião Peixoto, in the interior of São Paulo, on Tuesday night (yesterday).

From Sao Paulo, the plane flew straight to Recife, where you will make a technical stopover before heading to Sal Island in Cape Verde, last stop before arriving at Air Base nº 11 in Beja, in southern Portugal.
