Portuguese Air Force: Incident with KC-390 in Lisbon.


A KC-390 from the Portuguese Air Force (FAP) Had part of his left -wing wing today, 25/05/25, by a maintenance vehicle at Humberto Delgado Airport in Lisbon.

So far FAP has not issued any statements about the incident that will certainly be the subject of an investigation to determine the reasons for the event.

There were no injuries in the incident. After a thorough examination is that there will be a position on the extent of the damage.

The KC-390 is a tactical transport aircraft operated at FAP by the squad 506 “Rhinos†based on Air Base No. 11 in Beja.

In 2019, FAP ordered five KC-390, including a comprehensive service and support package and a flight simulator. The first aircraft entered service in October 2023 at Beja Air Base and will replace the current Lockheed C-130H Hercules that are operated by the Luso military.

Last day 10 June was revealed that FAP's second Brazilian aircraft will be delivered soon and has already performed the first flight. From serial number 26902, the plane made a flight of just over 1 hour in the interior of São Paulo before returning to Gavião Peixoto.
