The Portuguese Air Force (FAP), Embraer A-29N Super Tucano's first client will receive the aircraft in December 2025, marking the global debut of the new military model developed in Brazil.
Derived from the consecrated A-29B Super Tucano, A-29N has been adapted with specific modifications to meet NATO requirements, mainly in communication systems and mission sensors.
The Portuguese Air Force (FAP) it is, until now, The only confirmed client of this version and will be responsible for debuting A-29N in Europe. As it had already been anticipated, The first delivery is scheduled for this year.
FAP sources confirmed to Aeroin that the first two units should be delivered in December. The date may coincide with the arrival of a new KC-390 Millennium to the Squadron 501 – Rhinos, that already operates two aircraft of the multi -impairment model manufactured by Embraer.
Before delivery to Portugal, however, Paraguay should receive its first copies of the A-29 Super Tucano, that are already in the final stages of export preparation.
