Following the approval of the Regenerative Pastures Project (La Caixa Foundation Program) promoted by ESDIME, which has a partnership with the Municipality of Mértola, various organizations in the agricultural sector and farmers in the territory, a partnership was established with the Iberian Regenerative Agriculture Association.
Later, with EITFood https://www.eitfood.eu/ (European organization in the field of food innovation), in the sense of developing joint work to train farmers for agricultural practices that incorporate principles of regeneration, in particular, soil regeneration, the increase in biodiversity, the intelligent use of water resources, promoting synergies with ecosystems, among others, without jeopardizing the economic sustainability of production.
Following this partnership, registration is open for the pre-selection of candidates(as) to a free training action, taking place in Ourique, of 26 a 28 October, dedicated to the theme Agroforests, key lines (Key line) and Biodiversity in cork oak forests, with trainers Miguel Llorente and Paco RodrÃguez, lasting 2,5 days. Formation in Castilian. This action is one of several that will also take place in Spain, Italy and Poland.
Although the scope of this course is national, through the partnership with the project regenerative pastures, farmers in the municipalities of Castro Verde, Almodovar, Aljustrel, Ferreira do Alentejo, Ourique and Mértola, have preferential access, up to 10 vacancies.
