Salary update for public administration workers for next year is a minimum of around 52 euros or 3%.
It was published this Wednesday, in Diário da República, the Decree-she which approves measures to value Public Service workers. At stake are increases of a minimum of around 52 euros or 3% which come into force from 1 January 2024.
“The basic monthly remuneration of workers who receive a remuneration between (euros) 769,20 and (euros) 1754,49 is updated in (euros) 52,63. The basic monthly remuneration of workers who receive a remuneration equal to or greater than (euros) 1.754,50, is updated by 3%”, It can be read in the document.
It also establishes the same decree-law that “whenever, under the terms of the applicable regime, the worker's base remuneration is determined as a percentage of a standard or reference value, its update is that which results from the update of the aforementioned standard or reference value carried out in accordance with the previous paragraphs”.
The Government also established that the value of the Public Administration's remuneration base (BRAP) – in other words, the minimum wage – is fixed in 821,83 euros.
It should be remembered that the Council of Ministers approved the salary update for public administration workers to the next year, of a minimum of approx. 52 euros or 3%, despite the current political crisis.
According to the Government, “this change in the remuneration base for 821,83 euros and updating the value of public administration remunerations to 2024 go, again, in addition to the commitment made in the Multi-Year Agreement for the Valorization of Public Administration Workers, em 2022”.
These increases, refer, were promulgated by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, a 13 November.
