The Territorial Command Beja (CTBeja) of the Republican National Guard detained 26 people, seized eight firearms, heroin and cash and detected almost four hundred infractions in vehicles inspected.
The actions carried out by the CTBeja military took place between the 17 and 23 January and aimed at preventing and fighting violent crime, road inspection, having been detained 26 people in flagrante delicto, and 3 for domestic violence, 8 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 7 for driving without legal authorization, two for drug trafficking and one for possession of a prohibited weapon.
With regard to combating drug trafficking, 1.161 doses of heroin and 4 of liamba and 1.308 euro cash. The GNR also seized eight firearms.
With regard to traffic inspection, in total, the military detected 381 offenses, and 29 related to malfunctions in lighting and signaling systems, 23 with tachographs, 22 with tires, 18 by missing or improper use of safety belts and / or restraint system for children, 17 for lack of mandatory liability insurance, 16 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 13 for speeding, 7 for driving with alcohol level in blood higher than allowed by law and 3 by misuse of the mobile phone in the course of driving.
In the accident rate chapter, the military registered 23 accidents on the roads in the district of Beja which resulted in 1 serious injured and 4 minor injuries. Six administrative infraction notices were issued within the scope of police legislation.
