The Territorial Command Beja, through the Moura Territorial Detachment, received the inland water inspection boat (LFA) ARIES, intended for patrolling the Alqueva river basin.
Within the scope of the specific duties of the Environmental Protection Center (NPA), the Moura Territorial Detachment, with the support of LFA ARIES, will intensify patrolling and inspection actions along the Alqueva basin and coast, to ensure the safety of people and property, as well as compliance with current legal standards, with a special focus on the areas of livestock exploration, fishing and tourism in general.
With this reinforcement of means, the Moura Territorial Detachment now has three vessels, with LFA ARIES being an essential resource to strengthen GNR's operations in Alqueva. This vessel consolidates detection capabilities, Surveillance, monitoring and control, contributing to the reinforcement of river patrolling in the district of Beja.
The Republican National Guard reaffirms its commitment to security, environmental protection and compliance with laws, promoting public tranquility and preservation of natural heritage.
