GNR: New commander of the Figueira da Foz Guard Training Center.


Lieutenant Colonel Rogério Copeto, is the new commander of the Figueira da Foz Training Center (GSP) da National Republican Guard (GNR). The official, of 52 year old, is from Évora, and takes office tomorrow.

The new commander of the GNR CFFG, was a student at the Military Academy between October 1993 and 1998, and after completing the Officers Course, held until October 2000 the position of Platoon Commander in the Guard Training Course, in the then Portalegre Instruction Group.

Rogério COPETO, it was between 2001 and 2010, commander of the Territorial Border Detachments, Estremoz and Évora. After going through other functions, exercised between 2013 and 2015 the position of Public Relations Officer of the Évora Territorial Command (CTÉvora). With the promotion to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, the officer was placed in the General Command of the Guard where he assumed the position of Head of Teaching Division/Doctrine and Training Command.

Five years after leaving CTÉvora, in 21 October 2020, Lieutenant Colonel Rogério Copeto, returned to that unit to assume the position of second commander and command spokesperson, these last functions that he already performed before heading to Lisbon.

The new commander of the Figueira da Foz Training Center, takes office one day after the incorporation of the 46th Guards Training Course, composed por 327 temporary guards, in a course that will last approximately eight months.

On 15 December 2015, the officer was decorated by the then Commander-General of the Guard, Lieutenant General Silva Couto, with the Distinguished Service Medal Silver Grade.

Spokesperson functions (Public Relations) GNR Évora, are taken over by Captain Ricardo Pasadas, Commander of the Évora Traffic Detachment, officer who commanded the Volta ao Alentejo Occasional Transit Detachment of 2021.
