From today until the day 31 July, a National Republican Guard (GNR), will intensify patrols on farms, throughout the national territory.
Operation Safe Field- Fase I, It aims to prevent crime in general and in particular thefts, still giving special attention to accidents involving agricultural vehicles (tractors) and possible cases of human trafficking.
During operation, GNR will promote information actions and awareness-raising among rural communities, especially farmers, on prevention and protection against theft, in particular against theft cork, or other agricultural products, copper and other base metals.
The military, given the number of fatal accidents involving agricultural vehicles, They will make users aware of tractors and agricultural machines, for the safety rules related to the handling and use of such vehicles, giving priority to personal contact.
In order to ensure that the various agricultural campaigns take place in a climate of security, GNR will develop outreach and monitoring police actions, Military striving of different valences, namely, the Territorial Command, Protection Service of Nature and Environment, the Criminal Investigation and Fiscal Action Unit, there still a reinforcement of patrolling on horseback.
