The Prison Guard Corps strike (CGP), which, among other services, affects the transport of prisoners to courts, led yesterday morning to the postponement of the trial of a drug trafficker, known as the “Escobar of Pedrogão”, county Vidigueira, which was scheduled for the Beja Court, before a Collective of Judges.
The session scheduled for today was also postponed due to the CGP strike and scheduled for the second week of March. Two of the witnesses who were absent from Tuesday's session, because they are frequent users of this behavior, including a woman, arrest warrants were issued to be taken to court on the day of the first session.
