Mainland Portugal and the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores will set their clocks back by one hour in the early hours of this Sunday, starting winter time.
Na madrugada deste domingo (27 October), in mainland Portugal and the Autonomous Region of Madeira, when they are 2 hours the clocks must be set back 60 minutes, going to 1 hour.
In the Azores, the change will be made to 1 hours of Sunday morning, going to 0.00 hours.
The official time will return after the change 30 March 2025, for the summer regime.
The current time change regime is regulated by a directive (Community law) of 2000, which provides that every year the clocks are, respectively, early and back an hour on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday in October, marking the beginning and end of daylight saving time.
