Continental Portugal and the autonomous regions of Madeira and the Azores will advance the clocks one hour in the morning of next Sunday, 30 March, starting summer time.
In mainland Portugal and the autonomous region of Madeira, watches advance an hour when it is 1 hour, mark 2 hours.
In the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the change will be made to 0.00 hours, moving to the 1 hour.
The legal time will change again in 26 October, for the winter regime.
The current time of regime change is governed by a policy (Community law) of 2000, which provides that every year the clocks are, respectively, early and back an hour on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday in October, marking the beginning and end of daylight saving time.
