Fires: Fisco warns taxpayers who have to 15 March to clear land.


There 12 parishes in three municipalities in the district of Beja, included in the priority list in cleansing the land.

The IRS is warning taxpayers that have to 15 March to clear the bush and cut trees near homes and villages, may have to be fined if they do not.

“If you do not even 15 March, may be subject to prosecution for contravention. Fines can vary between 140 a 5000 euros, in the case of individual, and 1500 a 60 thousand euros, in the case of legal persons. And this year is to double”, reads the note.

This year, and even 31 May, Municipalities can be replaced to the owners in the bush cleaning, being that the owners are obliged to allow access to their land and to reimburse the Board of the amount spent on cleaning.

Odemira (6): Boavista dos Pinheiros, Luzianes-Gare, Savoy, Santa Clara-a-Velha, San Salvador and Santa Maria and Sao Teotonio.
Almodovar (1): St. Barnabas.
Mértola (1): Mértola
Parishes of 2nd priority: Cleaning of the land must be completed by 31 May
Odemira (1): relic.
Mértola (3): Alcaria Ruiva, Holy Spirit and Santana de Cambas.
