Fires: Priority list for land clearing has 1142 parishes.

The number of parishes with areas with higher risk of fires has increased compared to last year. District of Beja's 16 the 75 parishes or associations parishes.
In 2018, had been 1049. This year, according to the joint order of the ministries of Interior and Agriculture, which was published on Thursday in “Gazette”, they are marked 1142 parishes.
The list contained 16 the 75 parishes or associations existing parishes in the district of Beja, nine in Odemira, four in Mértola, two in Almodovar and in Ourique.
Almodovar (2): St. Barnabas- 1.Th and the Union of Parishes of Santa Clara-a-Nova and Gomes Aires 2nd
Mértola (4): Alcaria Ruiva- 2.Th, Holy Spirit- 2.Th, Mértola- 1.ª and Santana de Cambas- 2.Th
Odemira (9): relic- 2.Th, Savoy- 1.Th, St. Louis- 2.Th, São Martinho das Amoreiras- 2.Th, Luzianes-Gare- 1.Th, Boavista dos Pinheiros- 1.Th, Santa Clara-a-Velha- 1.Th, San Salvador and Santa Maria- 1.Th and Sao Teotonio- 1.Th
Ourique (1): Santana da Serra- 2.Th
Miguel Freitas, Secretary of State for Forestry and Rural Development, explained to JN that beyond 98 new parishes that joined the list, there were five who left because they burned in 2018, as with Alferce and Monchique, because of fire August. There were also two that have passed from the first to the second priority level of danger.
