Fires: Priority list for land clearing has 4 parishes in the Beja district.


The government extended for another month, to 31 May, the deadline for owners to clean land and identified 988 priority parishes to supervise fuel management work, in two published orders. District of Beja's 4 the 75 parishes or associations parishes.

According to the order, the extension of the deadline until 31 May it is justified “considering the weather conditions that have been verified, with persistence of precipitation and high water contents in the soils, which limits the periods available for fuel management work â€.

In the document related to the priority parishes for the purposes of inspection, were “identified 988 parishes (34% the total number), covering 2.871.924 He has [hectares] of total area (32% from the surface of mainland Portugal) and encompassing 1.988.232 ha of forest spaces (37% in your total area)".

The list contained 4 the 75 parishes or associations existing parishes in the district of Beja, three in the municipality of Mértola and one in Almodôvar.

Mértola (3): Alcaria Ruiva, Mértola and Santana de Cambas.

Almodovar (1): St. Barnabas.

Bragança is the district with almost two hundred parishes (or unions) priority, Following Guard and Viseu, with a hundred and a half, Vila Real, eight dozen, and Coimbra, with seven and a half tens, while Beja and Setúbal count four parishes, followed by Lisbon (five), Portalegre (12) and Faro (14).
