Infrastructure Portugal:Company signs contract 33,6 million to benefit IP8 until Beja.


The contract to improve the IP8 section, with 22,5 km long, reaches the 33,6 million.

Infraestruturas de Portugal contracted the contract for the improvement of the Main Itinerary (IP) 8 between Ferreira do Alentejo and Beja, which includes a variant in Beringel.

In a statement, Infraestruturas de Portugal revealed that this investment contract within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), financed by the European Union.

Second company, the improvement work on the IP8 section, with 22,5 kilometers long, reaches a value of approximately 33,6 million, said the company. The project will be built between the Rotunda and the Regional Road 2 (ER2) in Ferreira do Alentejo and the Rotunda with the IP2 in Beja.

The objective is “the structural rehabilitation of the road, promoting the improvement of mobility conditions, circulation and safety in IP8”, indicated Infrastructures of Portugal, highlighting that the project “also includes the construction of a bypass to the town of Beringel, with 2,5 kilometers long”.

“The contract will be sent for evaluation by the Court of Auditors in order to obtain the necessary prior approval”, said the company.
