The Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja), collaborates with the Group of Schools nº 2 Beja, in the National Project “Fruit Heroes”.
According to a statement issued by the institution, it reveals that within the scope of the National Fruit Heroes Project "it was requested", by teacher Sónia de Castro, of the Group of Schools no. 2 Beja, the “gracious provision of fruit” from the IPBeja Hortofrutícola Center.
The objective of delivering the fruit aimed at “promoting healthier eating habits, with children in need” of Centro Escolar São João Batista – Mario Beirão. Second to teacher, cited in the IPBeja document "the fruit offered was distributed and consumed during breaks".
In the statement, IPBeja "thanks" for having been considered and "congratulates" for helping those who actually need it., "this being a way of exercising their social responsibility in the community", ends.
