IPBeja: Students promoted Solidarity Praxe to help local institutions.
Students of IPBeja promoted Solidarity Praxe to help local institutions, and delivered 1.593 euros a, Operation Red Nose, Firemen Association and Young Habi(to)tar Alentejo.
For the second consecutive year, students of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, promoted Solidarity Day, framed in the integration of academic activities of the new students.
This initiative took place on 28 of September, and joined students from four schools that comprise the IPBeja, Agrarian School, School of Education and Higher School of Technology and Management, who joined a self-help spirit the various social welfare institutions sites, and each school took the challenge to make a difference in an institution.
Students of Agrarian School promoted a cleaning campaign, in the street, which also served to showcase the city to new students, stressing the importance of all contributing positively.
Caritas of Beja was chosen for the initiative promoted by the School of Education, which consisted of clothing collection, food and school supplies.
The School of Health was associated, once again, to Operation Red Nose, by selling merchandising community, which resulted in raising 1000 €, which were delivered in full to the institution, in order to help finance the IPSS.
Firefighters Beja Volunteers, They were also chosen for this initiative, this time by students of the Superior School of Technology and Management, who are dedicated to the sale of several corporate merchandising materials, resulting in the predicament of the initiative amounting to € 363.20 (currently documented na photo).
The ahja - Association Young Habi(to)tar Alentejo that has developed community outreach initiatives, particularly for children with special needs, also received much attention these students, who conducted the sale of raffle solidarity, raising a total value of 230 €.
