In a statement, IPBeja justifies that in the first phase of the National Competition for Access to Higher Education, (CNAES), filled 66% the 512 vacancies made available through your 14 degrees.
According to the institution “the placement of 337 new students resulted in a percentage increase, 4% yoy, highlighting the fact that all vacancies in half of the degrees were filled, which reinforces the institution’s position on the national scene”, adding that this positive result “contrasts with the decrease in students placed in institutions located in regions with lower demand and less demographic pressure, with a decrease in 2% (12 868 placed students), as, the decrease of 1,3% in the total number of candidates at national level (58 301) compared to the same phase of the national competition in 2023”, according to data released by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation.
IPBeja reveals that at 337 new students, There are also candidates approved in local competitions, where it is included: special contests; competitions for academic degree holders; competitions for holders of dual certification courses and specialized artistic courses; and competitions for international students.
It is worth noting that the Polytechnic says that “within the scope of the local competition, the entry of more 50 new students on the distance learning Solicitors course. The entry of new students, both by CNAES and by other regimes, projects an optimistic scenario for the next phases of the national competition”, justified.
The number of new students already placed in this 1st phase allows IPBeja to “face the next phase of CNAES (that will follow from 26 de agosto a 4 of September) with optimism. Of the total number of vacancies put up for competition at national level, left 4 996 vacancies for the second phase, representing a decrease in 4,1% in relation to the same phase of the competition 2023. Of the candidates for the first phase of the competition, 85,7% have already been placed, wherein 87,8% of students now admitted were placed in one of their first three options”, ends.
