IPBeja: eleven more (11) vacancies in the reinforcement of the year 2021/2022.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES) yesterday released the reinforcement of 3080 vacancies in the National Competition for Access to Higher Education, having the IPBeja been awarded with more 11 places.

The institution of Higher Education in Beja had in total 525 vacancies now having 536 places. In the reinforcement of vacancies in the 30 Institutions, referred to by the MCTES, IPBeja only surpasses six of them.: Lisbon University Institute (0 vacancies), Lisbon and Coimbra Schools of Nursing (2 each), Polytechnic Institute of Santarém (8) Estoril Hospitality School and Porto School of Nursing (9 each).

According to the MCTES, vacancies in public higher education grow to a total of 56043 vacancies, increasing more 3080 vacancies compared to the value initially disclosed in July 2021, representing an increase of 6% given the number of vacancies initially set, including more 160 vacancies in courses with the highest concentration of best students.

The new vacancies are already available in the 1st phase of the national access competition 2021/22 Under the general access regime 2021 a total number of 56043 vacancies, which represents an increase in the increase of 6% given the number of vacancies initially set.

The increase in vacancies now defined is the result of an effort to mobilize higher education institutions to respond to the appeal made by the Government following the high number of candidacies for the 1st phase of the National Competition for Access to public higher education, which reached a new high of about 63 thousand nominations, being the highest since 1996.
