IPBeja: Program + Superior assigns 75 scholarships to students of the institution.


Completed the application deadline to the Program + Superior, the Ministry of Education and Science informs that, throughout the year 2015-2016 They have applied to this program 2308 students. The Polytechnic Institute of Beja were assigned 75 mobility grants.

IPBeja_800x800The program + Superior aims to attract candidates for 11 Higher education institutions located in the country's regions with lower population pressure, assigning a mobility grant worth € 1,500 annually. It contributes, that way, for territorial cohesion and the setting of qualified young people in the countryside.

The Ministry of Education and Science has authorized the renewal of mobility grants awarded in the school year 2014-2015 throughout the year 2015-2016, this representing a total maximum investment of € 1,486,500.
The higher education institutions selected for + Superior are the University of Beira Interior, University of Évora, University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, Polytechnic Institute of Guarda, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, Polytechnic Institute of Beja and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra.

It was thus recognizes the crucial contribution of these institutions in the regional development of the country, encouraging hand fixing skilled workforce, the relationship between higher education and the local economy, creating conditions for future integration of these young people into the labor market and, rather, the business fabric of the region where they studied, making better use of the installed educational capacity.

Program “RESUME”
The deadline for submission of applications to the program Resume, They have applied to this program 455 students. This program is intended to financially support the re-entry of students who left higher studies before completion thereof. Young people are eligible under 30 years which have left the education and training system and are unemployed for more than 4 months. The grant awarded under this program is worth € 1,200 annually, plus € 300 annual paid the higher education institution to implement a student of the monitoring plan. It is the first anti-dropout program in higher education established in Portugal.
