They are presented today at the Air Base (BA) nº11, the air assets that will be used in the security plan in support of security forces and services (FSS).
In the context of World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023, the Armed Forces support the holding of the event by providing, to 09 August, of infrastructures, spaces, means and equipment, supply of food and other requested supports, in order to contribute to the success of the event and to fulfill the commitments undertaken by Portugal.

28JUL23, 10h00, Air Base No. 5 – Monte Real: Police 201/301- Quick Reaction Alert (QRA), Air Interdiction and/or Escort of the Papal Plane. Present the role of the F16M in the airspace safety plan, in QRA and Air Interdiction.
28JUL23, by 14:30, Lisbon Naval Base: Frigate D. Francisco de Almeida- The Armed Forces, through Navy means, are ready to support the FSS in the context of WYD23 security.
