The Court of Évora Relationship (THREE) yesterday rejected the appeal of the former president of CerciBeja, who was sentenced to an effective sentence of 4 years and 6 months in prison for the commission of a crime of sexual abuse of an inmate.
The Plenary of the Criminal Section-1st Subsection of the TRE, decided on the “Improvenance/Non-decree” of the appeal presented by the defense of José Hilário, whose appeal had been filed on the last day 23 of December.
A judicial source explained to Lidador Notícias that the “dismissal” means that the claims set out in the appeal were denied.. As for the “No decree” it may have to do with two situations: refusal of a request made by the defense if the appeal was accepted or a request made by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
Last day 12 November, a panel of judges from the Court of Beja also sentenced José Hilário, of 52 year old, payment of compensation to the victim in the amount of 5 thousand euros, for personal injury.
