The building, which is owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAY), para além do CSREPCBA alberga ainda o Comando Distrital da PSP e diversas das suas valências, including the Weapons Center, the Agency for Immigration and Asylum (AIMA), former SEF, the Institute for Mobility and Transport (IMT), the Finance Department, the Victim Support Center (ARE NOT) and the Municipal Assembly of Beja (WITH).
As condições do edifício são degradantes, não existindo uma instituição que faça a gestão e manutenção interior e exterior do espaço, or to ensure the safety of installations. Inside there are areas without lights, paredes cheias de salitre e a cair aos bocados e casas de banho encerradas por falta de condições.
Sempre que chove, é recorrente a Proteção Civil vedar os locais mais problemáticos a fim de proteger os cidadãos, trabalhadores das diversas instituições e os muitos utentes que se deslocam aos diversos serviços.
Visitado diariamente por centenas de cidadãos que se deslocam à AIMA, PSP e IMT, o edifício não tem uma casas de banho públicas e os utentes que recorrem àqueles serviços têm que se deslocar a um café ou então às casas de banho do Jardim Público, a mais de 400 meters away.
