Mértola: Education Support – Do not leave home…We come to you!!
Aiming to support students and families, in carrying out the work “I study at home”, the Municipality of Mértola lends computers and Internet access routers.
The measure aims to support students who do not have computer resources, for carrying out their school duties. It also distributes photocopies at home to carry out the work sent by teachers.
The delivery of the computers started last week, with the equipment that was available at the time. The criteria defined were followed, so the priority was secondary school students, especially 11th grade students. Yes and 12º. Year, followed by the remaining students, ordered by year of schooling and level of economic aid.
In order to be able to cover all interested parties, most of the equipment was purchased, having autarchy made an investment of 20.000 euros.
The delivery of this first phase is completed by the end of this week. A second enrollment phase will begin, so, if there are still students without this resource, should make this need come, with the municipality for individual assessment of each process.
This measure is integrated in the project “Don't leave home… We come to you!”In the“ Support to Education ”strand, in conjunction with the Alsud School and Professional School Group.
