The project will be developed in the area of ​​the Forest Perimeter of Coutos Mértola (perimeter Forest) integrated in the Municipal Hunting Zone Mértola whose total area is 1079 ha located in the area surrounding the village of Mértola.
The project objectives are, among others, preserving local biodiversity through the dissemination of good management practices and management of hunting resources and contribution to the local and external awareness of the hunting sector and recognition of their role in the economic and environmental sustainability of the disadvantaged rural areas.
To achieve the defined objectives will be carried out various actions, namely, the development of a Good Practice Guide, information and environmental awareness activities, improvement and habitat restoration for huntable species, installation of an observatory of birdlife and game species.
