The Municipality of Mértola was distinguished for the thirteenth consecutive time as a family responsible municipality, an award given by the Observatory of Family Responsible Local Authorities.
The municipality receives the green flag on the day 6 December in the Auditorium of the Rectory of the University of Coimbra.
For the award of this distinction, the Observatory evaluated several criteria, including support to maternity and paternity, support for families with special needs, the education, housing, transport, health or culture and sport.
This distinction demonstrates that the municipality is on the right path, reinforces the determination to continue with the development of other recently implemented proposals, which we are convinced will be an added value to the candidacy of 2024 to the municipal observatory.
