Mértola: Municipality proposes exemption from hunting dog licenses.

The municipality of Mértola, National Hunting Capital, proposed the parish councils the exemption, assuming before them the reimbursement of the revenues.

Due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the municipality of Mértola decided to propose to the Parish Councils, exempt hunting dog owners, in the payment of licenses to develop hunting activity.

A iniciativa, emerges after a very troubled year for this activity, by subtracting the number of shortest and longest hunting journeys, despite the hunters having paid in full the licenses due to practice hunting activity.

The municipality of Mértola, National Hunting Capital, with full responsibility and vision in hunting activity, considers that the value of licenses charged is unfair, since the activity was not properly developed, and the impossibility of making refunds, proposes to the municipality's Parish Councils the exemption for hunters from the payment of due licenses for the next season, assuming the reimbursement of revenue to the parishes, if the board so wishes and does not want to assume this exemption directly.

Since the final word belongs to each parish, the expectation is that they will be able to accept the proposal., for the benefit of one of the county's most important activities.
